Our body works through chains!
We all have heard that our body is one system and everything is connected.
Well, our muscular system is no exception. Inside, we have large, muscular, multi-articular chains that regulate
our gait and posture when we are active, and when we are resting. In fact, in medical circles the existence of such
chains was known , however, how they work together, and how to put such knowledge into a practical plane – the question remained contraversial until recently.
Well, there are 4 main muscular chains that affect our posture. Each of the chains is connected to each other, and with each present on both the right and left sides (technically making eight total chains)
These chains work alternately, diagonally, creating that habitual movement of the body during a walk.

Excessivel activity of one of the chain, for example, on the left side, creates predictable changes in the body in form of pain, pathologies,
destroyed discs and so on. Reasones of that change are the natural asymmetry of our body, one-sided habits, etc.
Therefore, it is important to understand that the idea of ”pumping” weak muscles and stretching short muscles often false, and sometimes it can lead
to complications.
This video shows one separated chain of muscles that goes from the foot to the diaphragm
(the further name of the chains is not scientific, but interpreted for understanding)
* Cranial chain (muscles of our skull. The position of the skull bones can also have an effect to our posture)
* Shoulder chain (muscles of the upper extremities. Affects neck rotation,
shoulder movement and chest expansion.)
* Back chain (muscles behind our body that attaches from the pelvis to the neck)
* abdominal-foot chain (diaphragm, deep lumbar and muscles of the lower extremities)
